Be a Warrior! Support Ronald McDonald House Today…

The Seattle Ronald McDonald House provides a “home-away-from-home” to help support seriously ill children and their families. The House opened in 1983 and depends on charitable donations & volunteer support from many individuals, corporations and foundations for their continued existence.

In 2003, RMH quadrupled the House’s capacity to 80 guests per night. In 2013, they provided almost 27,000 nights of housing to nearly 550 families. They offer the House to the families of any seriously ill children who live at least 45 miles away while undergoing treatment at Seattle Children’s. RMHC receives no government funding, but relies on the generosity of the private sector.

How can you help? Restock the house pantry! ECM is now collecting donations today through April 15, 2015.

What we need:

-Canned beans: refried or baked
-Cup o noodles or Top Ramen
-Boxed rice and pasta meal helpers: Pasta Roni, Hamburger Helper, Rice-a-Roni
-Microwave popcorn
-Alfredo pasta sauce
-Canned meats: salmon, chicken, beef, SPAM
-Canned fruit: peaches, pears, fruit cocktail, pineapple, mandarin oranges
-Canned corn
-Snacks: snack bars, fruit snacks, fruit leathers, juice boxes, fruit cups, jello cups, individually packaged chips and crackers, shelf stable white and chocolate milk.
-Canned soups: condensed chicken noodle, condensed tomato soup, beef stews, turkey chili, chicken chili, beef broth
-Pancake mix

*All canned goods must be 16 oz or smaller. Also, because the children are immune compromised, we ask that all food donations are new, coming directly from a store rather than people’s home pantry.
